1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Selah ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.
These Terms constitute a legal agreement between you and Vusion Labs ("we," "us," "our").
2. Description of Service
Selah is a privacy-first Bible companion application that provides personalized scripture recommendations based on your emotional state. The App uses Content-Based Filtering to learn which Bible verses resonate with you — without collecting personal information.

3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Selah. If you are under 13, you may only use the App with the supervision and consent of a parent or legal guardian.
By using Selah, you represent that you meet this age requirement.
4. User Responsibilities
Acceptable Use
You agree to use Selah only for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may:

Read, like, and share Bible verses
•
Use the App for spiritual encouragement and personal reflection
Prohibited Conduct
You may not:
•
Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the App
•
Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or hack the App
•
Use the App for any illegal or harmful purposes
•
Distribute malware or viruses through the App
•
Impersonate others or create multiple UUIDs to manipulate recommendations
We reserve the right to investigate and take action against violations, including suspension of access.
5. Content and Intellectual Property
Bible Translations
Selah uses Bible translations that are in the public domain or licensed for free public use. We do not claim ownership of the scripture text itself.
App Content
All other content in Selah — including the App design, code, graphics, user interface, emotion categorization system, and recommendation algorithms — is owned by Vusion Labs and protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.
You may not:

Copy, modify, or distribute the App's code or design
•
Use our branding, logos, or trademarks without permission
User-Generated Content
Selah does not allow users to create or upload content. All interactions (likes, shares) are private and not visible to other users.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
SELAH IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND.
We do not guarantee that:

The App will be error-free or uninterrupted
•
Recommendations will always be accurate or relevant
•
The App will meet your specific spiritual needs
Important: Selah is a spiritual companion tool, not a substitute for professional mental health care, therapy, or medical treatment. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, suicidal thoughts, or severe emotional distress, please contact a licensed professional or emergency services immediately.

7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vusion Labs shall not be liable for:

Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Selah
•
Loss of data, profits, or opportunity
•
Emotional distress or harm resulting from verse recommendations
•
Technical issues, bugs, or service interruptions
Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with Selah is to stop using the App.
8. Privacy and Data
Your use of Selah is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the App, you consent to the data practices described in that policy.

You are identified only by a random UUID

You can request deletion of your data at any time
9. Account Termination and Suspension
User-Initiated Termination
You may stop using Selah at any time by:

Uninstalling the App
•
Sending a delete request directly from the settings menu in the app. Once requested, your associated interaction Records will be permanently deleted from our servers within 30 days.
Our Right to Suspend Access
We currently do not terminate or ban users. However, we reserve the right to implement account termination in the future if we detect:
•
Abuse of the recommendation system (e.g., creating multiple UUIDs to manipulate rankings)
•
Attempts to hack, scrape, or exploit the App
•
Violations of these Terms
If we introduce account termination, we will update these Terms and notify users.
10. Modifications to the Service
We may:

Add, modify, or remove features from Selah
•
Update Bible translations or emotion categories
•
Change the recommendation algorithm
•
Discontinue the App entirely
We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes, but we are not obligated to do so.
11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Nigeria, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Selah shall be resolved in the courts of Nigeria.
Informal Resolution First: Before filing any legal claim, you agree to contact us at [email protected] to attempt to resolve the dispute informally.
12. Updates to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do:

The "Last Updated" date at the top will change
•
We will notify users in-app if changes are material
•
Your continued use of Selah after changes means you accept the updated Terms
If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the App.
13. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
14. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Vusion Labs regarding Selah. They supersede any prior agreements or understandings.
